Parramatta District Competition

The Parramatta District Competition is the hub of Vigoro in NSW. Located in the centre of Sydney, the competition can be easily accessed from all areas within metropolitan Sydney. The competition is run by the NSWWVA.

The competition is held during the summer season (mid-September to end-March each year). New players are welcome to join at any time during the season.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Where are games played? Local competition games are played in Greystanes (@ Alpha Rd Pk and Nemesia St Pk) and Pendle Hill / Girraween (@ Pendle Hill Pk).

What are the game times? It is recommended that new players join the B/C Grade competition when first introduced to Vigoro. B/C Grade competition is currently played Saturdays @2:45pm (games are timed out at 5:15pm). There is also an 'A Grade' competition (otherwise known as our Super 8s/9s format) which is currently played Saturdays @ 12:00 noon (games are timed out at 2:30pm).

Can new players be placed in a team? Yes. New players can join on their own, with a group of friends or family. We have had a number of mothers and daughters join together over the years and enjoy this feature of the competition. Players can join any time during the season.

What equipment / uniforms do I need? All playing equipment is provided. Often players after playing the game for a while may like to purchase their own vigoro bat to use and these are approx $35.00. We keep uniform expenses to a minimum by encouraging teams to wear the same colour t-shirt but with their choice of shorts/ trackpants.

I'm ready to give the game a go - how do I register? Please send your name and contact details through by phone (02 9631 7680) or email to nswvigoro@bigpond.com so that we can place you in a team.
